Application Technique for Esscoat NF Preparation

• In principle, application should be performed when the foundation works for ceiling attachments, such as anchors and hangers necessary for duct work and plumbing, are complete.
• Temperature: During the construction period and the curing period, a temperature of 4℃ or higher should be maintained in the construction site and at the surface to be treated. For operation in a location where the temperature is below 4℃, an appropriate heat insulation measure such as heating should be taken to ensure that a temperature of at least 4℃ is maintained. In addition, a temperature of 4℃ or higher should be maintained for at least 7 days after the operation.
• Surface treatment: Any dust, rust, oil, paint or other foreign substances on the work surface should be removed through an inspection before application. Operation on the minimum coating surface should be carried out after removing the aforementioned foreign substances and verifying the adhesion of the product to the working surface.

Application Technique

• Mix the Esscoat NF and water in a ratio of 1 to 1.2-1.6 for 2 to 5 minutes using a mixer.
• Spray the mixture on the operation surface at a distance of 30 to 60cm from the end of the nozzle to the operation surface and at an angle of 90 degrees. Spraying at an angle below 70 degrees is prohibited in principle.
• For Esscoat NF, the coating thickness requirement may be satisfied with a single coating operation, or 2 coating operations depending on the operating conditions.

Curing

Curing should be carried out in a place with appropriate ventilation, and rapid drying during curing should be avoided. The curing periods are as stated in the table below.
