KD One announced on the 28th that it is launching the Smart Cradle ‘UHN-C100’ system, the first home IoT system in Korea to incorporate wireless technology. UHN-C100 is a new type of home IoT solution that retains the benefits of existing home network systems but adds the advantage of better mobility. With UHN-C100, consumers can control air conditioning, heating, gas, and lighting functions with a single device. The cradle is compatible with Android-based tablet PCs, which means users can keep their living environment the exact way they want it from anywhere inside their home. Not only that, the UHN-C100 allows the synchronized tablet PC used for controlling the home system to keep its usual functions as a computer, making it even easier for users to build a smart lifestyle by simply buying the home IoT solution alone. KD One has also added a ‘Home View’ function (allows the user to monitor their home from the outside using an app) and a ‘Visitor Video Call’ function (enables users to communicate via a video call with visitors even when they are away from home) to the basic functions from previous home networking products for the UHN-C100. Finally, the simple and elegant design finished in white, which makes it the perfect choice when creating luxurious and high-end interior environments, is expected to boost consumer satisfaction levels for UHN-C100. In fact, Ssangyong Engineering and Construction has already recognized UHN-C100’s potential, using it for the company’s model house in Naei-dong, Milyang (model house is for Ssangyong’s premium apartment ‘Ssangyong Yega the First’). Other construction companies such as Woobang Construction, Dongah Construction, and Dongyang Engineering and Construction Group are expected to choose UHN-C100 for their model houses or actual apartment complexes. As such, KD One is hoping to use UHN-C100 to satisfy the lifestyle needs of consumers for a more convenient and pleasant living environment. Oh Hyeon-joon, Head of the NB Division at KD One, stated, “The development IoT technology has led to home IoT solutions capable of providing optimized living environments tailored to the preferences of each consumer. Smart cradles allow people to keep their living environment just the way they want it wherever they are. In other words, they improve mobility. So, we expect them to become a new trend that proves to be the final touch that creates a more convenient and pleasant lifestyle for consumers. |
