KD One announced on the 27th that it successfully hosted a company tour at the request of a high-tech industry economic delegation from the Netherlands.
Led by the Dutch Embassy in Korea as part of the Korea-Netherlands Summit, the company tour focused on laying the foundation for exchange between the two countries and mutual development of related industries. The economic delegation, featuring more than 70 members from the cutting-edge industry (e.g. smart home, etc.), creative industries, agricultural and livestock industries, visited Korea. Thanks to the fact that KD One was known as a leading company in the Internet-of-Things (IoT) industry, the group visiting KD One included officials from corporations in the high-tech industry such as GreenPeak Technologies, a global corporation with business interests in smart home-related technology. KD One revealed that plans for the company tour program were made at the specific request of the Dutch delegation. Apart from KD One, the delegation visited one public organization and one other corporation to review the progress of IoT technology in Korea. From KD One’s perspective, this was validation for its excellence in IoT technology.
As part of the tour program, KD One showcased an integrated solution that allowed smartphone users to carry out a video call with visitors, to check video feeds from inside a home, and control various functions such as the emergency alarm, gas valves, light fixtures, air conditioning, and heating conveniently using their smartphone devices. Giving a glimpse into the future direction of the smart home market earned great reviews from the delegation. In other words, it presented innovated technology that went beyond controlling one product with IoT technology. KD One showed the delegation that there is a way for consumers to use multiple functions around the home using IoT technology. In particular, as the holding company for KD Navien (the flagship boilermaker for Korea), KD One promoted the fact that its video-phone products are used in KD Navien’s room-by-room control system and synchronized boiler control system. More specifically, it showed the delegation how consumers can use one centralized application to control safety, heating, and other amenities at their homes.
Oh Hyeon-joon, Head of the NB Division at KD One, explained, “More and more consumers around the world are looking for products that can make their lives more convenient and more pleasant. IoT technology can make that happen, which is why IoT technology has established itself as an important factor for the future of various industries.” He continued, “We have great IoT technology. Great enough that we can showcase our products confidently in front of an economic delegation from the Netherlands. With this IoT technology, KD One will continue developing products such as video-phones, room-by-room control systems, and heating control solutions that can make the lives of consumers much more comfortable moving forward.
