Paraso, our artificial soil product, won the energy winner prize in the green building sector at the 12th Energy Winner of the Year Awards, which were held at the international conference hall on the 20th floor of the Press Center on August 22.

Paraso was given the prize for its contribution to the popularization of rooftop gardens in the urban environment. The product is ideal for rooftop gardens, as it reduces the weight of soil using mineral-based perlite, which provides the basic functions of soil needed for plant growth. In addition, Paraso is considered to be valuable as an energy saving and eco-friendly product for rooftop afforestation that not only improves the thermal insulation of a building rooftop (indoor temperature in the top floor of the building is reduced by about 2℃), but also reduces the cooling load in the summer season through plants and moisture evaporation effect (ambient temperature reduced by up to 7℃, energy consumption reduced by 6 to 15%), as well as mitigates the comprehensive urban heat island phenomenon through the diffusion of rooftop afforestation.

Paraso will continue to develop an eco-friendly urban environment and reduce the energy consumption of buildings, with the hope of contributing to a solution to the problem of global warming.
